Norwegian death metallers Blood Red Throne are currently hard at work on their next, as-yet-untitled album.

Guitarist Død comments: "We're currently workin' on our fifth studio album, and so far we got 9 killer tracks. We're waiting for a green signal and then we'll enter Studio Deadline in Sweden, makin' our best album ever!"

Blood Red Throne's follow-up to 2007's "Come Death" is tentatively due to be released in May 2009 through Earache Records.

Blood Red Throne - New Album Recordings Over

Norwegian death metallers Blood Red Throne have issued the following update:

"We finished recording the new album after some weeks of what we like to refer to as 'the BRT curse.' We are very happy with the material and can't wait to get it back from Valle Adzic, who will be mixing the album in the coming weeks. Valle also mixed the 'Altered Genesis' album .'

Blood Red Throne's fourth studio album was recorded at Jailhouse Studios in Horsens, Denmark. The upcoming CD will be the group's first to feature new members Anders Haave (drums) and Vald (vocals). Songtitles set to appear on the album include "Rebirth in Blood", "Come Death", "No New Beginning" and "Slaying the Lamb".

"This time, we aim for a more classic death metal sound, ala Gorguts 'Considered Dead' / Suffocation's 'Despise the Sun' kind of sound," the band previously said. "We have grown tired with the over-produced and fully triggered drum kits that so many bands use today, besides we have taken a slightly new direction with our music and the analog and dynamic sound fits the music better. We have also chosen a different approach to the recording process of the instruments."

Blood Red Throne - Lineup Changes/Working On New Album

Norwegian death metal juggernauts Blood Red Throne are fervently working to complete laying out material for their assuredly gore laden forthcoming Earache release.
Blood Red Throne have welcomed new vocalist Vlad and drummer, Anders Haave, who will be joining Blood Red Throne to record their forthcoming album.
This album will mark the bands' fourth studio release and is slated for pre-production in late October, with final recording scheduled for December. During a now infamous tour run with Mortician, Blood Red Throne vocalist Vlad was commissioned to take over for Will Rhamer (Mortician front man) after being arrested mid-tour, and was joined by fellow Earache artist Jason Mendonca from Akercocke. Blood Red Throne's latest Earache release, "Altered Genesis" can be found on the Earache US and UK web store and expect a new slaughtering from Blood Red Throne in early 2007!
